Poppin Off Party Rentals is a locally owned event rental company serving Connecticut and Massachusetts. We specialize in tents, tables, and chairs for backyard parties, weddings, and events.
We work with independent contractors during our busy spring and summer season to support event setups, pickups, and equipment prep.
This Is a 1099 Seasonal Role
This position is for independent contractors, not employees.
You choose when you’re available to work, and we offer work opportunities based on event demand. There are no guaranteed hours and no required weekly schedule.
Some contractors work a few days per week, while others take on more during peak season.
What the Workweek Looks Like

Thursday — Prep & Container Drop-Off
- Load equipment
- Drop off rentals to our shipping container location -
Light organization and prep

Friday — Event Setups (Primary Day)
- Tent, table, and chair setups
- Mostly daytime work

Monday — Pickups
Event breakdowns and returns

Tuesday / Wednesday — Cleaning & Reset (Optional)
- Cleaning tents, tables, and chairs
- Preparing inventory for upcoming events

Saturday — Occasional Only
- Not required
- Available from time to time
Contractors choose which days they want to work.
Seasonal Event & Operations Contractor
Typical workload (if desired):
- Around 15–25 hours per week
- Spread across 2–4 days
- Fully flexible based on availability
Work may include:
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Setting up tents, tables, and chairs
- Breaking down events and pickups
- Cleaning and organizing equipment
Driver License & Vehicle Use
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Optional opportunity:
Contractors who have access to a pickup truck, cargo van, box truck, or trailer may choose to use their own vehicle for certain deliveries or pickups and be paid accordingly.
Use of a personal vehicle is optional and never required.
